The Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center realizes the importance of education both within schools and beyond school walls. Whether it’s learning a new skill, a new language, a computer program, or learning to love knowledge and applying it to everyday living, the Kroc Center is a campus of opportunity that will provide direction and support to enable youth and families to develop skills specifically in the multi-faceted areas of education.
In addition, we are partnering with Omaha’s great education community to provide a curriculum that will enhance our members’ potential through collaborative, interactive and creative programming. Building Your Child's Self Esteem
Ages: 19 and up
Tuesdays 6pm
Sept. 7 thru Oct. 5, 2010
Member: $50, Non-member: $55
Building a child's self esteem helps a child to function successfully in life. On the other hand, a child who feels unwanted, unappreciated or unloved can suffer from depression, act out violently, abuse drugs and alcohol, develop an eating disorder, become pregnant, drop out of school, or even commit suicide. In this class you can play an important role in helping your child feel good about who he/she is and build better self-esteem through positive affirmations.
Register for this or other education classes online or by telephone at 905-3500.
