PLEASE NOTE: Swimming suits are required. No street clothes will be allowed in the pool. For safety and/or health reasons, we ask that swimmers follow these Pool Rules.

LAP SWIMMERS, please note that Mon-Fri, June 27—July 1, there will be some schedule adjustments to the Competition/Lap Pool as we are a training site for the Mutual of Omaha BREAKOUT Trials Training Camp which features practice sessions with Olympic Athletes. We're sorry for any inconvenience to you workout schedule, but hope you're as inspired as we are to be sharing a small part in the Olympic Trails.

American Red Cross Swim Lessons

Swimming is a skill that not only keeps people active and healthy, but can also save a life! Drowning is the second leading cause of injury-related deaths for children under 14 and adults who cannot swim are at a greater risk, too. The best thing you can do to stay safe in and around the water is to learn to swim.

At the Kroc Center, learning and fun go hand in hand. Our swim lessons are designed to develop progressive swimming skills with a strong emphasis on safety in a friendly and fun environment. Lessons are offered for all age groups and skill levels.

Swim Lesson Registration
Three ways to register:

  • IN PERSON: Stop by the Welcome Desk at 2825 Y Street and let a Guest Services Representative assist you.
  • ONLINE: To save time at check-in, please print out and bring your online receipt and class enrollment form with you! Go to online registration »
  • BY PHONE: Call the Aquatics team at 402-905-3591 to assess which swim level is appropriate for you or your child’s registration. The Aquatics Team may also be reached by email at

float4life Lessons AGES 1 - 3

Member: $45, Non-Member: $60
Float4Life is a water safety program that teaches young children, ages 1-3, how to roll on their backs (like an Otter!) so they can breathe, float and reach the side of the pool until help arrives. Those precious seconds can save a life! Sessions include 8 lessons, each 15 minutes long. These “mini” lessons maximize the short attention span of toddlers while gradually increasing the child’s comfort level in the water. This program is a partnership between the Omaha Kroc Center and the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation

Member: FREE, Not a Member? No Problem. The Non-Member Class Fee is $5 per person (in addition to the Kroc Center's Daily Entry Fee of $7 for adults). 

A fun “Pool Party” workout, Aqua-Zumba is an easy-to-follow choreographed class set to high-energy, latin-inspired music while incorporating dance moves, interval training and resistance training. Join the fun!

Enjoy a gentle workout designed to help individuals with arthritis and those recovering from surgery or if you're just starting an exercise program. This group class encourages self-care, provides social interaction and improves muscular strength, endurance and flexibility. Individuals may participate at their own pace.
