Our Sports and Recreation Department provides the Omaha community with an impressive array of sporting activities. In keeping with the wishes of Joan Kroc, the Kroc Center Sports and Recreation area is a state-of-the-art facility that promises to be a magnet for the entire Omaha community.
gymnasium complex
The Gymnasium Complex features 3 full-size courts which can be converted into two larger court areas. When the two larger court areas are utilized, one court can employ bleachers hosting up to 1200 spectators. Simultaneously the other court can be used separated by a curtain divider. An assortment of tournaments and leagues will be featured within the Gymnasium Complex including basketball, volleyball, soccer, dodge ball and many more activities.
The
Sports Fields Complex contains one large full-size field and one junior
field. These fields may be converted into four to six youth-size
fields and used for multiple sports such as soccer, flag football, and
other outdoor activities. Additional sports such as softball, baseball
and tennis are available in two parks, adjacent to the Kroc Center,
through a joint-use agreement between The Salvation Army and the City
of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department.
