“…To inspire people to develop their God given talents through artistic, educational, physical and spiritual experiences…” we provide campers a way to grow in mind, body and spirit.

Our camp program is rated 5 (on a scale of 1-5; with 5 being highest) in excellence for our combination of education and activities in comparison to 15 other Greater Omaha summer camps. Camp Kroc truly is a great place for curious and active kids. Campers love being with their friends and having a blast; parents love that their kids are safe and still learning during summer-time fun.

Our camp program focuses on 3 developmental components: Stay Sharp School Skills, Experiential Learning, and Physical Health and Safety. On average, you can expect your camper’s weeks to include the following focus areas:

Stay Sharp School Skills

• STEM challenges and programs

• Reading and mathematical maintenance

• Situational problem solving

• Computer skills

Experiential Learning

• Field trips and hands-on learning

• Values and positive socialization

• Diversity, inclusion and collaboration

Physical Health and Safety

• Red Cross Certified swim lessons

• Fitness as active play

Quiet Mind activities

Vacation Bible School Like What You're Seeing? In the spirit of the Kroc Center’s mission

“My passion is promoting positive community and educational growth in our neighborhood through the mission of the Kroc Center.”

As Education Manager for the Kroc Center, Kathy develops and executes educational programs for children. Kathy studied physical fitness and has 20 years of experience working in the public health and education fields in the Omaha area—where she had the opportunity to grow healthy summer camps and after-school programs for kids age 5-13.

Kathy Powers Camp Director
Charity Walker-Rodenbarger Camp Educational Lead

“Working at the Kroc Center is like being with family—a little bit of crazy, a little bit of loud and a whole lot of love and support!”

Recently retired from a 30-year teaching career, Charity joined the Kroc Center’s Education team as the Educational Lead. For the last 15 years of her career, Charity spent her time teaching technology skills to K-6th graders. Now, Charity focuses her time at the Kroc Center planning and implementing educational programming for Camp Kroc and our after-school program Club Kroc.

Isaac Cruz-Vital Camp Counselor

“The favorite part of my job is being able
to interact with kids daily while building positive and long lasting relationships

with them.”

The Kroc Center wouldn’t feel like home without Isaac Cruz-Vital, our Education Assistant. When he is not playing dodge ball or encouraging young men to be better, Isaac works as a Finance and Real Estate Intern at Union Pacific. He currently attends the University of Nebraska at Omaha through the Susan Buffet scholarship.
